What appears to be emerging from this series is that there is a regional and national commitment to the lifelong development of skills, which is underpinned by funding, awarding and inspecting bodies who do their utmost to provide support to the Further Education sector.
Although the governing bodies for Further Education are different across the country, what would be interesting to know, is whether learner experiences vary across the UK as well.
